If you want to play Freespace 2 with the latest and greatest that HLP has to offer, then you've come to the right mod. The MediaVPs are a mod compiled and distributed by the FreeSpace Upgrade team. These are built regularly to include new hi-poly models and hi-res effects provided by the Hard-Light Productions community, as well as to take advantage of the capabilities offered by the FS2_Open engine. The MediaVPs have also fixed bugs and errors present in the retail Freespace 2 campaign making this the definitive way to experience Freespace 2 with a modern gaming shine. [b]Note that these are not a replacement for the retail Freespace 2 files, so you must have Retail FS2 installed to be able to play this mod![/b] [hr] The FSU team was established to bring to light one of the most awaited (and awaited... and awaited...) enhancements to Freespace. Thousands of modified files spanning hundreds of SVN commits and test packages, countless sleepless hours, arguments both public and private, have all to come together to provide players and modders an easy-to-use package of upgraded FS2 assets.
